Beaumont Hotel

Beaumont Hotel in Kansas is a neat place to go and the food is good. It is a private grass strip so it probably isn't in your GPS's database but it is on the Kansas City sectional. It is a little south and east of El Dorado, Kansas. Land on the north/south strip, taxi to the south end and out onto the road. Taxi about a quarter of a mile into town. Be sure to stop at the stop sign. Park across the street just south of the hotel. Eat in the dining room or cafe. Spend the night if you like. Their menu is good and the prices are reasonable. If you have never eaten a buffalo burger or steak, now is your chance.

The Beaumont Hotel has excellent Bread Pudding, some of the best I've had. It's a pretty fun place to fly, but they don't like it when you fly down main street past the restaurant. They say you need to adhere to the normal traffic pattern when landing.
