Makes one want to stay in the air and not go to work. Thanks for the view.

This is the time of the year you get awesome pics on the way to and from work. This morning it was -15F when I took off. The starter was too cold to start the plane. Had to hand prop it. And, it was 0F at 4k ft. Taxied to tiedown and guess what? CAR WOULDN'T START! Good thing I had my MaxPreheat battery. Had to jump the car to get it started. And, had to replace the battery after I got back to the shop. Drove out to the airport to go home, park the car, load the plane (the Enterprise)... Then, sitting at the runway waiting to take off... weather changes and I have to request a special VFR and then call clearance delivery for approval, then call LHD tower to get my clearance and departure instructions. Whew! What a day! But... made it home, put the nighties on the Enterprise, had dinner with my wife... It doesn't get much better than this!

Thanks for ck'n out & liking my pics. I'll try to post some more this winter.

A great picture in a great state. Us lower 48 like to see pictures in Alaska, and sounds like you had a busy day. Thanks for sharing.

    Jess,

Thanks for posting. The photo is beautiful and I am sure the use of your plane for going back and forth to work is making a lot of people in the lower 49 jealous. Keep up with the beautiful photos.

There are a lot of great days to fly in AK, however, there are a lot you shouldn't. Spring & fall is when you should be wary of the potential for icing conditions. Winter is when you get the best pics, however.
