Default Colt leans toward the pilot side

Just bought a 1962 Colt. I really like the a/c but looking forward, my Colt leans toward the left. The left wingtip is about 2 inches lower than the right. The bungees are only 2 years old. Looking from the front, it looks like the landing gear assembly is what is causing the lean. The fuselage/wing structure seems level. Can this be corrected? Thanks

    Ed,

Check the distance between the ground and the lower strut attach points. This will tell you if the problem is the gear or the rigging. If the distance between the ground and the strut attach points are equal, it will be time to check the rigging. A small difference at the gear will cause a big difference at the wing tip. The difference between a worn tire on one side and a new tire on the other will cause a couple of inches difference at the wing tip. If you can't find the difference in the gear, level the plane and check the dihedral.
