Purchased N5219Z on 7/19/2014 and have enjoyed a long cross country already from Mesa, AZ to her new home in Temple, TX. Glad to have run across this forum.

Nice looking airplane! What's that dent on the left wing leading edge? :)

Thanks, that is what happens when you don't refuel yourself and the line guy doing it has a stroke while climbing the ladder. Thanks again for introducing me to the site.

You bet. There's some good folks on here. Despite some of the distracting "discussions" on the forum, the membership cares about the Shortwings they fly or flew or want to fly. I recommend you also sign up on shortwingpipers.org as well if you haven't already. Between the two sites you can get answers to almost any question you might have about your Colt. Looking forward to a flight in your new flying machine!

Good advice!

That is a sharp looking Colt! No surprise that a guy makes his first post, and Rick is already pulling his chain!;) Too many doughnuts (dognuts to those in the frozen North) while hiding behind the "World's Largest Armadillo" sign!
Welcome to the SWPC, and the forums. As Rick stated, there are a lot of good folks here, and we can always use one more.
Maybe we will see your Colt at Branson next July?

Mark, BountyHunter08 had the bad luck of moving onto the same airport that I hang out at. He had his shiny new Colt sitting on the wash rack as I drove by on my golf cart and I said to myself, "Self. Looky there! A bonafide shortwing right here, right now!" So . . . his day improved drastically when I introduced myself and complimented his new ride. The good news is he decided to join even AFTER meeting me. :)

Does that mean we have to get Mark a new mascot for 44K?

Nice looking Colt you have there, and an excellent choice of airplanes.

Shure is a purdy Colt ya got there.

I hope mine looks that good when I finish the restoration.
