    Default muffler deterioration

I assisted my mechanic in doing my annual inspection this month, I was tempted to skip the muffler pressure check as only 65 hours had been flown this year. It is such a wrestling match to get the muffler and shroud out of the airplane. I am glad I chose to suck up and just do it! I found some small holes of deterioration along the welded seem in the muffler skin. I sent the muffler out for repairs and will sleep much better in bed now rather than in the cockpit with the heater on this winter! At the very least everyone should invest in a good carbon monoxide sniffer and review the signals of carbon monoxide poisoning and monitor themselves and passengers closely during flight.

Never had much luck with those Co2 detectors, they always go black and are hard to read.
